Weights, blocks, a foam roller and a mat laid out in the lounge room, next to the wool. Spending all this time at home hasn’t been as boring as I feared it would be. I wear my gym gear all day and break up my couch time with a workout here and there. With much of my commuting time freed up these days, I’ve managed to find more time not only for hobbies but also to tackle those nagging jobs around the house I’ve been putting off … ever since we moved in.
Spritzing my new bottle of Aesop room fragrance. My indulgent, yearly travels abroad are but a fond but distant memory right now but the scent of something luxe wafting through the house almost makes me feel as if I’m in a hotel or lounge on the brink of an adventure.
Injecting a bit of colour into my work wardrobe gave me a bit of get up and go as I headed into the home stretch of my run of days.
And last but not least – moments out and about in the real world as I commute for one of the handful of reasons the government currently permits us to travel for.
The sun is shining, the trees are swaying gently above, light is filtering down onto the street between their leaves.
And I am at the start of seven glorious days off!
That’s self-care right there!
Be well.
