At least it wasn’t fruit mince pies. That I started my Christmas shopping with this first weekend of October just gone.
I was roaming the aisles of Target on Monday in that way you (I) do when you’ve had to work a public holiday and find yourself a bit jetlagged at the end of it. Daylight saving beginning, a new month, crazy times at work… it all takes its toll. And somehow, a bit of Target time helps reset my brain (after having had to reset all the clocks).
Returning from that tangent. Target was having a 20% off Lego promotion and wouldn’t you know it? The sale included the City Advent Calendar. Preschooler SSG’s Christmas countdown has officially been sorted.

I’m still undecided. The heart wants a Liberty advent calendar which is scheduled to launch October 25 (diarize the date, readers).

While the (slightly more sensible) mind says The Body Shop. There are three versions on offer from TBS for Christmas 2017. This is a picture of The Ultimate and it’s calling my name.
Preschooler SSG is crazy in love with this Fart Blaster. That’s basically all it does when you pull the trigger. There are flashing lights too but it’s the noises he loves the most.
It’s officially socks and sandals weather, Sydney.
I’ve also stocked up on tutti fruity reusable ice cubes.
And we’ve been to the beach.
It makes a pretty decent office, I must say.
We built a hotel / resort at the base of a man preschooler made volcano, buried each other in the sand and got just lightly tanned from our moment in the sun.
Turning it on, Sydney. The next few months are going to be quite literally golden.
