Don’t mind the water droplets I got a bit carried away watering my lucky bamboo. |
But your Kinder Surprise toy collection? That’s completely random and unpredictable. A polar bear footprint stamp on a ring here, a mini space ship there… Each toy so different yet familiar and so ‘you’ as they greet you each morning next to your desk calendar and as they send positive vibes to your work computer’s internet connection to just make it through the day without crashing during a vital download.
A good ASOS delivery. Worth kicking your heels off at the end of a long day for. |
Speaking of computers and the internet, people who have to Google ‘how to wear sky hi dunks’ probably shouldn’t be wearing them in the first place.
Anyhoo. Mine arrived in that ASOS parcel and I love them already. They’re a perfect fit, the wedge heel doesn’t preclude me from chasing after Toddler SSG whilst wearing them and Google Images tells me that I should be able to wear them out in public with most of the clothes I own already. Except flannel pyjamas and old, baggy Bonds track pants for which my trusty candy pink uggs would be a more appropriate choice.
Today’s been another day off doing the usual boring things but there was some excitement in my shopping bag. The supermarkets seem to be doing a roaring trade in exclusive chocolate releases. Woolies have a Tim Tam I’ll be trying to buy tomorrow and Coles have a line of chocolate blocks. I picked up the Marshmallow Pretzel milk chocolate version for $2.50.
From the back, there seem to be more mini marshmallows than pretzel pieces.
Cutting through the block doesn’t seem to alter this assumption either. As far as taste goes, it’s okay. The chocolate tastes better than the current Cadbury recipe which I find more sweet than anything else. The Coles bar needs a few more pretzels, I think.

Pete Evans has been in the news again with more miracle cures . He always seems to come up with something when it’s a slow news day and when I know I should be doing the housework but am loitering on the internet instead. I didn’t get much past the headline before I decided I needed to do something more productive with my broadband. So I downloaded Apple Music. Still trying to figure out what essential role it will assume in my life but I’ve a free 3 month trial in which to find an answer.
How do you use Apple Music?
Pete Evans is always an easy mark. I understand and respect his personal journey to better health through the exploration of alternative medicines and scientific theories but he is doing do from a baseline of general good health and the good fortune to not be suffering a chronic illness for which there are no known cures. But to then get on a soap box and proclaim various things as cures to vulnerable parents just trying to do their best for their children is beyond words. Because it just keeps on happening. Another day, another wacky promise. With absolutely no accountability.
I think I’ll just have to come to terms with the fact that I always will be beyond words when it comes to good old Pete. I promise not to mention him I on the blog again.
Have you heard of anyone else who could top his headline this week? Besides Miranda Kerr’s mum and her love of reverse osmosis water.
